An AEO agency in Malaysia is hired for one result: your brand, named when a buyer asks an AI engine which company to choose.
What the terms mean
Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) describe almost the same work. Both mean getting your brand into the answer an AI engine gives a buyer. AEO is the name most often used when that answer quotes a page. GEO is the name most often used when a model writes the answer. For a brand, the job is the same.
SEO aims for a place in a list of links, so someone clicks through. AEO and GEO aim for a different result. Your page is the source the answer quotes. That can be a citation, or your own sentence appearing in the reply.
Why it matters in Malaysia
Buyers in Malaysia already ask ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek and Grok which brand to choose. They ask in English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin Chinese. Each language is its own shortlist. The Bahasa Melayu version is covered in Bahasa Melayu AEO.
This is not a small side channel. OpenAI said in October 2026 that more than 1.2 billion people use ChatGPT each week. Malaysian shoppers are part of that audience, and Google AI Overviews answer on Google before the list of links. The same pattern shows up on Gemini, Perplexity and the other engines.
Someone who visits after that answer has already been pointed at a brand. The names in the reply get the consideration. A brand left out of the sentence does not get that introduction, whatever its ordinary search position.
How long it takes
A change to your pages can start to show in the answers in about 6 to 12 weeks, once the engines have recrawled. Mentions on other sites take longer, because those pages have to be found too.
Nobody can promise a particular sentence on a particular day. What you can watch is whether your brand is named more often for the same questions. How a name is counted, and why one screenshot is a weak reading, is set out in AI visibility agency in Malaysia.
What changes on your site
The useful pages are comparisons, buying guides and “best for” pages, published on your own site and written so an engine can lift a sentence and name you. The facts on those pages need to match the rest of the site, including your Google Business Profile and your marketplace listings.
Working with Loupe
Loupe is an AEO and GEO agency in Malaysia, at loupelabs.io, based in Kuala Lumpur. We work with brands that sell here, and we follow the questions their buyers ask in English, Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin Chinese.
The work is the pages on your site, the facts that stay consistent across your profiles, and the mentions that give an engine a reason to trust the name. What kind of work does Loupe do? sets out the pieces. The result that counts is your brand, named in the answer.
